The flexibility of the method is stressed which allows the derivation of various generalized nonlinear Langevin equations that can be used as bases for devising approximation schemes such as the mode coupling scheme.

Résumé : With the aid of a single operator identity, the derivation of the Mori generalized linear Langevin equation is simplified and a new generalized nonlinear Langevin equation is obtained. The flexibility of the method is stressed which allows the derivation of various generalized nonlinear Langevin equations that can be used as bases for devising approximation schemes such as the mode coupling scheme.

Such simulations are carried out starting with the initial 24000 randomly chosen Voronoi cells. The authors confirm the 1/2 power law for the growth of average grain size. They also find the normalized grain-size distribution and the edge number distribution which exhibit stationary behaviour at long times except for small-amplitude oscillatory behaviour for the latter
