LES TRAVAUX MENES SOUS LE DOUBLE ASPECT EXPERIMENTAL ET NUMERIQUE, VISENT A CARACTERISER LE COMPORTEMENT DE LA COUCHE LIMITE DEVELOPPEE SUR UN MODELE OSCILLANT. EN PARTICULIER, LE PHENOMENE DE TRANSITION EN ECOULEMENT INSTATIONNAIRE EST ETUDIE, POUR DES CONFIGURATIONS D'INSTATIONNARITE VARIEES: MOUVEMENT DE TAMIS, DE TANGAGE ET COUPLE DE TAMIS/TANGAGE. L'ETUDE EXPERIMENTALE EST MENEE PAR LA MESURE DES VITESSES ET DES INTENSITES DE TURBULENCE DANS LA COUCHE LIMITE, PAR LA TECHNIQUE DE VELOCIMETRIE LASER A FIBRE OPTIQUE EMBARQUEE DEVELOPPEE A L'IMFM. CETTE TECHNIQUE PERMET D'EFFECTUER LES MESURES DANS LE REPERE DU MODELE EN MOUVEMENT. UNE ETUDE EN ECOULEMENT STATIONNAIRE A TOUT D'ABORD ETE MENEE POUR DES CONDITIONS VARIEES DE VITESSE ET D'INCIDENCE. L'ETUDE SYSTEMATIQUE DES EVOLUTIONS DES GRANDEURS INTEGRALES A CONDUIT A LA SYNTHETISATION DE CRITERES DE TRANSITION. PAR LA SUITE, L'ETUDE DE LA COUCHE LIMITE EN ECOULEMENT INSTATIONNAIRE A ETE ABORDEE AFIN DE DEGAGER LES COMPORTEMENTS CARACTERISTIQUES DANS LES CAS DE MOUVEMENTS DE TAMIS, DE TANGAGE ET COUPLE. POUR LE MOUVEMENT COUPLE, CETTE ETUDE, INEDITE DANS CE CAS, A PERMIS DE METTRE EN EVIDENCE L'IMPORTANCE DU DEPHASAGE ENTRE LES VARIATIONS DE VITESSE ET D'INCIDENCE. L'INFLUENCE DU TYPE D'INSTATIONNARITE SUR LES PHENOMENES TRANSITOIRES A ENSUITE ETE DETERMINEE. AINSI, L'ETUDE DES ETATS INSTANTANES D'ECOULEMENT A CONDUIT A LA VALIDATION, DANS TOUS LES CAS D'INSTATIONNARITE TESTES, D'UN CRITERE DE TRANSITION MIS EN EVIDENCE EN ECOULEMENT PERMANENT. SUR LE PLAN NUMERIQUE, UN CODE DE CALCUL COUPLAGE FLUIDE PARFAIT/COUCHE LIMITE A ETE DEVELOPPE. IL UTILISE, POUR LA PARTIE FLUIDE PARFAIT, LA METHODE DES SINGULARITES AVEC UNE REPRESENTATION FREQUENTIELLE DU POTENTIEL DES VITESSES ET LA MISE EN PLACE D'UN SILLAGE FERME ACCROCHE AU DIEDRE ARRIERE DU MODELE. POUR LA PARTIE COUCHE LIMITE, LA METHODE DES DIFFERENCES FINIES EST APPLIQUEE, AVEC UN SCHEMA TEMPOREL. UNE MODELISATION SATISFAISANTE DE L'ECOULEMENT AUTOUR DU MODELE EST OBTENUE, EN PARTICULIER EN CE QUI CONCERNE LES PHENOMENES DE TRANSITION EN ECOULEMENT INSTATIONNAIRE

Langues : Français (fre) Catégories : Spécialité:Mécanique des fluides Résumé : In the present study, a performance code is developed in order to simulate the take-off and landing procedures of a tiltrotor. This work is based on a performance code for helicopters EUROPA (EUropean ROtorcraft Performance Analysis), created during the European Project RESPECT (Rotorcraft Efficient and Safe ProcEdures for Critical Trajectories) that ended in 2000. The code is first adapted to the tiltrotor case by taking into account the main characteristics of the tiltrotor for motion in the longitudinal plane. They concern the geometry of the aircraft, the main aerodynamic interactions, and the controls adapted to the different flight configurations (helicopter, airplane and conversion). The code is then validated by another flight mechanics code partially validated by wind tunnel tests. A performance study is carried out to show the influence of the wing flap deflection on the tiltrotor performances for the different flight configurations and the necessity of introducing a wing flap deflection law to improve these performances. The construction of the conversion corridor allows both the analysis of the flight boundaries of the tiltrotor and the definition of some conversion strategies. Finally, some take-off and landing procedures are simulated thanks to the pilot model present in the code. Results illustrate the tiltrotor capability to perform manoeuvres with and without engine failure while respecting safety criteria, and also the benefits of using the nacelles tilting during certain manoeuvres. This part of the study includes the estimation of the take-off and landing critical points, and the safety speeds and altitudes.
